I've tried on the AlpineStars GP Plus R perforated jacket at a local Cycle Gear. I can fit my liner under the jacket to combat the cold/wind at this size. It feels a bit better in the riding position but bunches up a bit in the stomach area. A 56 is a bit looser across the back and shoulders with the sleeve at the wrist bone. I'm between a 54 (tight across the back and chest, sleeve ends just before the wrist bone, and would not be able to fit anything besides a shirt under it.
